Hi, I'm Ella,

The artist behind Character Type.

I created Character Type because I love capturing special moments and meaningful places through art.

Whether it’s a family home, a wedding venue, a favourite beach or a much-loved pet, I create bespoke illustrations designed to celebrate the people, places and memories that matter most. My minimalist line drawings make thoughtful, personal gifts and are created to tell your story.

Alongside my illustration work, I also create vibrant original paintings inspired by the coast, countryside and everyday moments that catch my eye. Using layers of pastel acrylics, I build colourful, expressive landscapes and floral pieces, most of which are available as originals, with a small selection offered as limited edition prints.
