Unexpected gift

Painted during peony season and inspired by my love of late spring flowers, Unexpected Gift celebrates those fleeting weeks when gardens feel at their most abundant. Peonies have always been a favourite of mine, perhaps because May is my birthday month and they arrive right on cue each year, bringing their soft petals, delicate scent and sense of anticipation.

Set against a blush pink background, this piece combines peonies with smaller seasonal blooms gathered together in a simple vase. Painted in layers of soft pinks, fresh greens and creamy whites, it captures the joy of flowers that seem to appear all at once, brightening a room and lifting your mood.

A contemporary floral original designed to bring a little colour, warmth and the feeling of late spring into your home all year round.
